Today I Got Malled, and I Liked It: A Mini Monday Swatchfest - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Mall much?
She's alive! ALIVE!
Barely.
What I anticipated would be a quick trip into the city today to renew my passport turned into an all-day thing. At that place I was, stuck in San Francisco without a laptop or a expert photographic camera (the horror!). That'southward why I've been MIA, but I'm dorsum now, belongings my brand-spankin' new passport above my head triumphantly.
Victory is mine!
While the gubment worked on my passport, I killed a couple hours at the mall.
Trish McEvoy The Power of Dazzler Fall Collection
Do you know Trish (McEvoy)? I'm pretty new to her line, but I hear the vibe's a lot like Bobbi Dark-brown.
I stopped by a counter that had the new Power of Beauty Collection fall collection out, a small five-piece release with products described as "universally flattering."
I love that phrase, even though I'm not entirely sure what it means. The universe is a big place, after all. 🙂 Are these shades the Borg could pull off? I mean seriously.
Check out the slim silhouette of the Beauty Emergency Bill of fare Eyeshadow Palette ($38). I could encounter myself throwing information technology in my makeup bag for final-minute weekend trips. The shadows look and feel soft (a powderpuff lens issue) and kinda remind me of pearls.
Beauty Emergency Card Eyeshadow Palette ($38)
Another thing that caught my eye: Liquid Face up Colour ($32). I really blurted out, "Ooh!" in the store when I saw the swatch on my hand. It's a peachy golden cheek/lip tint, like a liquidy NARS Orgasm blush.
Eye Base Essentials ($25), Instant Eye Lift ($38), Liquid Face Color ($32), Instant Pick-Me-Upwardly ($29)
Liquid Face Color
Swatches from left: (kickoff row) top row of eyeshadows from Beauty Emergency Card for Eyes; (second row) bottom row of eyeshadows from Beauty Emergency Bill of fare for Optics; (third row) Eye Base Essentials, Instant Eye Lift, Liquid Face Colour, Instant Pick-Me-Up Lips
Clarins Rouge Prodige
After spending a few minutes with Trish, I swung by Clarins to go a look at their new line of long-wearing lipsticks, Rouge Prodige ($24 each), designed for long-lasting color, polish and hydration.
And how beautiful is this palette (beneath)? It's chosen Palette Prodige Face Blush & Tint ($35). I approximate information technology would have been too easy to just call it "The Prodige Face Blush & Tint Palette." Yeah, putting the word Palette at the forepart merely makes it seem libation. 🙂
Rouge Prodige Lipstick swatches from left: (first row) Nude, Fusion Ruby, Pretty Plum, Blackberry, Rosewood; (second row) Raspberry Sorbet, Coral Tulip, Nighttime Chocolate, Redwood, Lilac Pink, (third row) Copper Brownish, Carmine Rouge, Litchi, Sunset, Mystic Plum; (quaternary row) Clemintine; (fifth row) Palette Prodige Confront & Chroma Tint, Crayon Khol Center Pencil in Extreme Blackness
See anything you like?
That curt trip to the mall was the highlight of my very long solar day. What was yours? Any chills or thrills to report?
Your friendly neighborhood dazzler addict,
Karen
